If you have never heard of the Pillars of Creation, it is simply an evidence of the extraodinary sitings beyond the stars.
In 1995, a view of 3 towering structures made of dust, gas, dust and stars were captured. It since gained popularity and was given the name “Pillars of Creation”.
The picture captured by the “Hubble Space Telescope”, a space telescope that was launched into the Earth’s orbit in 1990 and has since remained operational.
It operates in a region called the The Eagle Nebula, which is a open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens.
What is Different?
The hubble has been able to capture a more detailed view of the Eagle Nebula’s Pillars of creation . A new image shows this region in an unparalleled detailed view. We see a mixed coloured glow of dark cosmic dust and the rusty coloured elephant trunk of the nebulars pillars.
When high contrast is aplied to the image, it produces more details which helps astronormers study the structure of these pillars.
The new image is no different from the image captured in 1995 because it captures the same region. The only difference is that the new image was captured usinga new camera which was installed in 2009 to capture light from glowing oxygyen nitrogen and sulpher with greater clarity.
The telescope also looked at the same region with infrared light allowing it to pierce through the gas and dust and reveal an unfamilier but amazing view of the dust.
