Banc ABC on Thursday launched its mobile banking platform known as BancABC Mobi which will offer the bank’s customers convenience. Though not the first bank to come with such innovation locally, the bank officials say the platform is a unique one in the sense that it offers self-registration with further features such as loan application enquiries and payments of utilities. The bank’s Managing Director Jito Kurian said the solution intends to offer customers convenience as they look for efficient and reliable products and services.
“Our customers want technological solutions that make their lives easier and BancABC Mobi is that solution,” he said. Kurian said the platform is the first of its kind to provide customers with the self-registration option, meaning that the customer does not need to register at the branch. The BancABC Mobi was developed after the bank realised an opportunity to provide an additional transactional and service channel to the customers in order to enhance the customer value proposition. The mobile banking services are expected to provide the bank customers with the ability to access banking service at any time. Besides conducting intra-bank transactions such as transfer of funds, the service will also allow BancABC account holders to transfer funds to other banks.
