Apostle Dr. Ing Kwadwo Safo is a man of God and a philanthropist born on Monday, August 28th, 1948. He was born in Boom, near Kensere in the Ashanti region. He hails from Asomnya in the Bekwai Municipality, Ashanti. His innovative mindedness and exploration earned him an epitome of “the audacity of possibilities”
After his primary and secondary school education, he attended Ghana Technical Works in Kumasi. He proceeded to work as a welder at the Volta Aluminum Company (VALCO) for three years.
Apart from his Christain ministry, he is also a physicist, biologist, chemist, agricultural, and inventor.
In the year 1965, on 5th January he embarked on a holy pilgrimage from Kumasi to Accra with the vision of emancipating Africans through modern-day Technology.

He began his church in 1969 as a prayer and transformed it on 3rd February 1971 in Accra, the capital of Ghana. He started the church with a single soul, in the person of Madam Faustina Dakoa. A postle as a founder of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana can boast of 132 branches here and abroad.

In his quest to promote technology in Ghana and Africa as a whole, he manufactured his first automobile Kantanka saloon car in 1998 and launched a 4-wheel drive, ‘Kantanka Onantefo’ in 2006. Apostle is the founder of Ghana’s first car manufacturing company, “Kantanka Automobile Company”.
The apostle never falls off from his dream of making Africa the Beacon of modern-day technology. He work excessively with his team to establish Kantanka Automobile company, whose headquarters can be located at Mpoten, the central part of Ghana. His company is known as one of the best automobile manufacturing companies, well tooled with different assembly plants.
The company has been able to produce different fleets, which include Kantanka Amoanimaa Saloon car, Kantanka Mensah, Kantanka 4×4 pick up the hard body, a robot capable of responding to programmed commands, a prototype rocket, a missile launcher, a wooden incubator, and a prototype armored car. A 26” flat screen colored television powered by a clap and turned off by hand waves et al.
Awards.
An apostle is a kindhearted man who has made a significant contribution to the African community through innovation, invention, and production. This has helped our socio-economic chain as a continent and has taken us to greater heights in the mix of tech giants.
The tech beacon has received numerous awards since he embarked on this fruitful journey. Apostle has received dozens of humanitarian awards since the year 1998 till date. Apostle was appointed an Associate Member Of the Ghana Institute of Engineers in 2004.
The Industrial Pinnacle Award, Winner of Gold in Industrial Development Engineering in 2004.
State Honor, Grand Medal (GM) Civil Division of Exemplary Leadership, Technology Ingenuity and Concern for the Deprived in Society in 2000. Charted Institute of Marketing, Special Awards in Marketing, Agricultural and Technological Skills through the Youth in 1999.
In the year 2018, Apostle Dr. Engr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, also known as Africa Star, was awarded the best scientist in Africa at the maiden Marcus Garvey Ball and Banquet awards held at the Swiss Spirit, Alisa hotel in Accra. He received the Librarian Golden Image Award for contributing to humanity and towards peace for the people of Liberia (2012).
The Order of the Volta (Member Division) in 2012 Best Philanthropist in the Humanitarian Category of the Millennium Excellence Award (2006). He has also been awarded two Doctorate honors, an Engineering honor, and a Professor Emeritus; which was conferred on him by Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine.
